Now your Messin With a, Son Of A Bitch

This is Nazareth and their tribute to the downtrodden everyman entitled "Hair Of The Dog". Everyone has heard at least one song off this album, be it when you are watching TV and a commercial comes on for Monday night football and everything slows down and all the sudden you hear the anthemic sounds of Nazareth's "Love Hurts" as men get pumbled and smashed, or mabye you've just been dumped by your best girl so you and your best bro's are knee deep in Cans of Coors Light and cruisin in your dad's old truck and make the decision to go pick up that questionable hooker you all saw three blocks back only to find out afterward it was a man, and all the sudden you hear"Love Hurts". Anyway this album rules it is somewhere between Ac/Dc, Accept, and CCR. Its just good old fashioned Dude Rock, every song on this record rules and has earned an eternal spot in my heart. So put it on, crank it up, and drink til you can't see.

Dude

Hair of the Dog has one of the all-time great rock choruses. It sits right next to The Misfits' Where Eagles Dare.

In other news, I believe that putting son-of-a-bitch into your chorus is songwriting gold.

Please Nick share with me the beauty that is Thin Lizzy. I have a void in my life that needs to be filled with so good old fashioned R'N'R(Rock And Roll).

fuck yeah!

to me the most best THIN LIZZY recordings are the 5th 6th and 7th albums. they hit their stride with the perfectly cultivated two part guitar lead harmonies! they did it the best!!!! fuck WISHBONE ASH! fuck SKYNARD! fuck ALLMAN BROTHERS! ITS ALL ABOUT THE LIZZY! HARD ROCK BURNS IN THEIR SOULS!!!! hell, Iron Maiden name them as a key influence!! even covering the classic "Massacre"!

find their 5th (Fighting, my fav! minus the cover of Bob Seeger's "Rosalie"... decent song, but i hate Seeger) 6th (Jailbreak, including the mega-hit, "The Boys Are Back In Town"), and 7th (Johnny the Fox, written and recorded while lead singer Phil Lynott fucked up with hepatitis and had to cancel a large part of their Jailbreak world tour) albums right here!!!! :

PHIL LYNOTT WAS ROCK N ROLL! END OF FUCKING STORY!!!!!!!!!!!! HE WILL FOREVER BE MISSED!!!

NEVER A BETTER IRISH BAND EVER EXISTED! FUCK THE CRANBERRIES!!

most explosive line-up existed from 1974-1978

whats that? you wish that singer/bassist Phil Lynott and guitarist Scott Gorham had a side project with Sex Pistols members Steve Jones and Paul Cook? ok! Never Mind Thin Lizzy Here's... The Greedies! (formally The Greedy Bastards, dropped the Bastards at the labels request)

listen to their Christmas single "A Merry Jingle" (their only release) here:

all records i just recommended were originally release on Vertigo Records, just like this Nazareth you've posted for us! NOW YOU'RE MESSIN WITH A(N IRISH) SON OF A BITCH!

it's all notable to mention, Brian Robertson went on to play guitar for Motorhead after the departure of "Fast" Eddie Clark. he played on "Another Perfect Day", before exiting with Philthy Animal Taylor to form Operator.

NOW TO GO BLAST LIZZY!!!!
